Owner & Founder of TALM Acupuncture Clinic
Paul New is the founder of TALM Acupuncture Clinic having received his Master’s in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in 2019. He is currently a doctoral candidate in the Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (DAOM) program at Bastyr University in Washington and will be graduating in late Spring of 2022.
TALM Acupuncture Clinic is co-located within the Jackson Healing Arts building in Jackson, MO. Prior to attending acupuncture school, Mr. New was in the Missouri Army National Guard, serving one tour in Afghanistan in 2011-2012. Mr. New was medically retired from the military in 2014. Originally born and raised in Cape Girardeau, MO, Mr. New travelled around the country and the world before returning to his hometown in 2021 to start his practice. His areas of specialty include musculoskeletal pain and sports injuries, post-stroke sequelae, mental/emotional issues, and PTSD, however his extensive training allows him to treat a wide variety of conditions.
During his educational journey, he developed an interest in Korean Acupuncture Theory, specifically Korean 4-needle (Sa’ am) style of acupuncture. He combines this with Traditional Chinese Medicine modalities to ensure his patients receive a personalized treatment that fits their overall wellness needs.
